Management Team

Jay Anderson, our CEO/Founder, founded Dock & Door Tec in 2006 and has grown the company every year since its inception. Starting in the industry as an Apprentice Service Technician in 1993, he advanced to an Account Representative and then Operations Manager prior to founding Dock & Door Tec. His diverse background and wide range of experiences created the foundation for a "service-focused" company. He enjoys meeting new people and helping them solve their facility problems, a passion he has passed down to his entire team. As an IDEA Accredited Technician and Dealer he maintains a higher standard than most and works to exceed that whenever possible.

Jaci Dukowitz joined Dock & Door Tec in 2022 as COO & Integrator. She was in manufacturing for 10 years in progressively responsible roles, lastly as Chief Operating Officer in a privately owned company. Jaci was responsible for leading the entire suite of business operations during the company’s extensive growth. Additionally, Jaci has held executive and HR roles in distribution, transportation, nonprofit and IT industries and spent 5 years as an adjunct business instructor. She was named Emerging Leader at the 2017 Minnesota Business Manufacturing Awards and was an Honoree in the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal 2018 Women in Business list and is on the Board of the Minnesota Precision Machining Association.

Jaci holds her SPHR and SHRM-CSP certifications, an undergraduate degree in HR Management, a master’s degree in Organizational Management and the ABD (all but dissertation) designation in Strategic Organizational Management PhD…but probably won’t ever finish it because she hates doing research! Along with her husband and two sons, Jaci enjoys spending free time in the outdoors at their lake home.

Michael Nelson joined our team as Director of Operations, bringing over two decades of leadership experience in operations, logistics, and team development. Before joining Dock & Door Tec, Michael built his career at UNFI (formerly Supervalu), where he advanced quickly and led large-scale distribution teams through major efficiency, safety, and process-improvement initiatives. His hands-on leadership style, focus on people-first management, and commitment to continuous improvement have consistently driven stronger performance and healthier teams.

Outside of work, Michael serves his community as Assistant Chief of the Nowthen Fire Department, where he leads with the same dedication to teamwork, accountability, and service.

When he is not in the warehouse or responding to calls, Michael is with his wife Jennie and their two kids, most often at sporting events, in the outdoors, or out hunting with family and friends.

Kiley Kruger joined the Dock & Door Tec team as Controller. Kiley has 10+ years of progressive accounting & finance experience. She chose Dock & Door Tec because she wanted to work for a local business where she feels her experience and knowledge will be utilized and appreciated.

When she’s not crunching numbers, you’ll find Kiley enjoying the outdoors and spending time with her husband, step-kiddos, dogs Rainey & Thunder and son Harrison.

Joe Hammel is the Director of Sales at Dock & Door Tec, bringing over 20 years of experience in the automotive and diesel industry. He joined the company because of its focus on strong customer service, meaningful relationships, and long-term growth. Joe leads the sales team with a focus on building long-term partnerships and supporting continued growth.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys supporting his kids’ dance, football, and MMA activities and staying active on his family’s hobby farm.

Al West, Service Writer, has demonstrated exceptional expertise, remarkable leadership skills, and an unwavering commitment to prioritizing client satisfaction. These qualities propelled him to his current role. Drawing from his background in metal fabrication, he has seamlessly integrated his ingenuity and problem-solving ability into his role with our organization. Al is a relentless learner, consistently seeking opportunities to expand his knowledge and eagerly immersing himself in the intricacies of various equipment. His passion for fostering strong client relationships has become contagious, inspiring our team of service technicians to embrace the same spirit. Al holds certifications as an authorized service technician from CHI and Dynaco.

Beyond the workplace, Al enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and their three dogs.

Sales Team

Rick Hopkins has done it all here at Dock & Door Tec. He has served as service manager, scheduler, office manager, purchaser, and finally his permanent role as an Account Manager for the north metro, north eastern MN, and north western WI. As a retired US Navy recruiter he brings the discipline, problem solving, and attention to detail needed to succeed in providing out of the box solutions for his clients. When not at work, you will find him hunting or fishing with his son and daughter.

Brian Blanchette has 9+ years in the packaging and warehouse industry. Brian takes pride in listening to client needs and bringing the best solution to the table aligning with the ultimate goal of a client. Brian looks forward to reaching out to maintain connections with some of his previous clients and creating new partnerships along the way. When Brian is not at work he enjoys time with his wife and three boys. Personal hobbies are DIY projects around the house, barbequing, and live music.

Eric Ekman, a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in material handling. Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in various aspects of the loading dock business. Eric initially started as an installer, specializing in loading docks and related equipment, before transitioning to sales. Motivated by his extensive expertise in the industry, he joined D&DT, a place that aligns perfectly with his passion and knowledge. Eric also appreciates that D&DT values its employees and clients, emphasizing unparalleled service and ethical business practices.

Eric enjoys time with his wife and two active boys. During the spring and fall seasons, their time is occupied with racing dirt bikes and mountain biking. When winter arrives, they ski, snowmobile, and play basketball.

Kate Eliason is a dedicated Territory Account Manager for our northwest territory at Dock & Door Tec, bringing 10 years of sales experience across the telecommunications, agriculture, and wholesale industries. Her strong background in client relationships and solution-driven service equips her with the ability to understand customer needs and deliver value-focused results. Kate was drawn to Dock & Door Tec because of our commitment to client relationships, integrity, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Outside the office, Kate enjoys spending time with her dog, traveling, working out, and watching football on Sundays.

Jeremy Vossen serves as Dock & Door Tec’s Southwest Territory Account Manager, bringing over 15 years of experience in operations, logistics, and process improvement. Prior to joining the team, he oversaw warehouse operations, inventory management, procurement, and export compliance, giving him a strong foundation in efficiency and customer-focused solutions.

Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary, their children, Everly and Olive, and their dog, Bean. He also enjoys golfing, playing softball, and cheering on the Vikings, despite the heartbreak.

Joe Hoeve, joined Dock & Door Tec as an Account Manager, bringing several years of experience in dock and door, material handling business. Prior to joining the team, he worked in the industry supporting customers with service solutions, preventative maintenance programs, and equipment sales.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, Ellie, and daughter, Claire, staying active at the gym, golfing, and finding new ways to stay busy.

Meet Emily Daniel, our dynamic Sales Coordinator. With a solid foundation in sales support, Emily brings a fresh perspective to our team, elevating our commitment to exceptional service and client satisfaction. Previously as a Sales Support Specialist in the citronella candles and garden torches industry, Emily's attention to detail and dedication to customer needs were instrumental in delivering outstanding solutions. Beyond her professional achievements, Emily enjoys traveling to new places. When she's not exploring, she's cherishing quality time with her husband and her lovable golden doodle companion, Juniper.
