and installation of loading dock equipment, commercial doors and warehouse equipment.

Essential Functions:
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Service Technician consist of but are not limited to:
- Efficiently and safely make repairs and identify proactive preventative maintenance needs on equipment (doors, docks, restraints, etc.)
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients while onsite to exceed their needs
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Properly weld equipment that we service and install at a certified standard
- Troubleshoot electrical control wiring issues
- Performs work at a level which will uphold our lifetime guarantee on workmanship (when applicable) while remaining within the scope of the work
- Communicates with scheduler/dispatcher as required throughout the day (maintains schedule adherence)
- Complete work order with Brand, Model, Serial# (if applicable), Target Time and part numbers for additional work, if required
- Manages indirect work efficiently (loading, pre-trip, etc.)
- Seeks out sales opportunities and submits opportunities
- Communicates appropriate client information to sales, service and admin staff
- Provides proper truck management including cleanliness, organization and notifies manager if there are equipment or fleet issues
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or loading areas, loading docks, by hand or using forklift or other equipment
- Turns in complete, orderly and clean paperwork/computer work
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
Qualifications:
- Prefer at least 1 year of work experience in skilled labor, trades, welding or similar environments
- Class A Driver’s License, or ability to obtain Class A
- Experience driving a forklift and/or ability to become forklift certified
- High mechanical aptitude
Requirements:
- Ability to work 7 am – 4:30 pm M-F
- Willingness to travel and work occasional odd-hours and/or weekends to meet client needs and for educational opportunities, occasional overnights, available for emergency service calls as needed
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials, sometimes in small and/or confined spaces.
- Maintain accident and incident free, safe, courteous and conscientious driving record
- Must be able to lift at least 100 pounds and able to work from heights of 20 to 100’

- Consistently meets or beats Target Times (TT) with no callbacks
- Acts in a professional manner when dealing with internal (co-workers) and external clients
- Maintains a professional and clean appearance and proudly wears company specified uniform or clothing
- Acts safely, performing all safety checks, inspections and pre/post safety requirements
- Is on-time and ready to work at set starting times
- Accuracy in counting and tracking details
- Timely reporting and data entry in required systems (AIM, CRM, ERP, Tablet, etc.)
- As required, attends training for industry, customer, company, safety or other purposes
- Partner with D&DT employees to ensure internal efficiencies and collaboration
- Maintain professional relationships with internal and external partners, exhibiting a commitment to D&DTs core values and mission.

- Dependable, reliable and responsible for completing daily tasks
- Safety oriented within the operation of forklift, hoists, lifts or other moving or lifting equipment.
- Understands basic electrical concepts and troubleshoots electrical control wiring
- Understands OSHA requirements as they pertain to our industry and clients
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet daily needs
- Ability to follow established processes with a sense of urgency
- Flexible, willing to help and support D&DT team in a variety of tasks
- Friendly, professional demeanor
- Willingness to learn and adapt new technology and techniques to better self, coworkers and the company
