The account manager will follow a consistent sales process for prioritizing opportunities, qualifying potential new clients, understanding the clients’ business drivers, building relationships, presenting solutions and closing business in accordance to sales quotas and expectations.

The Account Manager is responsible for uncovering opportunities and generating new business within new and existing clients. The account manager will follow a consistent sales process for prioritizing opportunities, qualifying potential new clients, understanding the clients’ business drivers, building relationships, presenting solutions and closing business in accordance to sales quotas and expectations.
- This position requires having a flexible schedule to work as needed based on the needs of the client to ensure excellent client experience within assigned territory of NW Metro.
- Home based or general office environment in which this position includes periods of telephone and computer work that may require sitting for periods of time, as well as frequent travel within territory.
Essential Functions
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Account Manager consist of but are not limited to:
- Develop sales plan for activities, determine priority of prospects and generating leads.
- Research and maintain a database of target companies and contacts that fit with D&DT’s ideal client profile, and prioritize, effectively qualify, and develop a strategic plan to pursue and close business.
- Communicate sales plan and progress to management
- Execute and deliver on sales targets
- Develop & manage a pipeline of opportunities and prospective customers
- Effectively navigate the Dock & Door Tec sales process to close
- Research, capture and document client and prospect information in the company’s CRM system. This includes company profile data, notes from conversations, activities, competitors, technology in place, key contacts, activities, etc.
- Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline from new and existing clients with the ability to move opportunities through the sales process and accurately forecast.
Qualifications
- Two-year degree in business, sales, management, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years proven sales experience, client direct B2B industrial service/sales environment preferred
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales goals
- Industry experience not required, but mechanical aptitude (Loading Dock equipment, overhead and specialty door) or related experience is preferred.
- Experience with Office 365: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, enterprise resource program (ERP) Acumatica, MailChimp and CRM software.
- Experience in an EOS/Traction environment is helpful but not required.
- Valid Driver’s license to support sales territories and client engagements

- Partner with D&DT employees to ensure internal efficiencies and collaboration
- Oversee accurate data and processes in CRM, ERP and AIM systems
- Timely reporting, quoting and data entry
- Ensure D&DT client experience is exemplary
- Maintain professional relationships with internal and external partners, exhibiting a commitment to D&DTs core values and mission.
- Gain a working knowledge of the business and be able to confidently answer prospect and client questions.

- Ability to navigate CRM to extract & report trends, data and details

- High level of professionalism in dealing with sensitive information.

- Flexible, willing to help and support projects as necessary to support D&DT
- Willingness to learn and adapt new technology and techniques to better self, coworkers and the company
